Winnwood Retirement Community is proud to share that our residents and staff recently received the COVID-19 vaccine.

With smiling faces and spirits filled with great anticipation, our residents and staff rolled up their sleeves to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The first clinic was held on December 30, 2020, rounding out the year with a sense of optimism and hope for the future.

We partnered with East Marietta Health Mart Pharmacy who provided the eagerly awaited vaccine. The variant received was developed by Moderna, one of only two brands currently available. A second dose was administered on January 27, 2021. We are elated to share that nearly 90% of our independent and assisted living residents have received the vaccine!

Winnwood is truly honored to be part of this life saving mission. We are committed to promoting the health and safety of our residents, and this vaccine is just the latest in our dedicated efforts to keep our community safe. We firmly believe that the vaccines developed will be key to ending this pandemic.
