The Power of the Putting Green


Here at Winnwood Retirement Community the power of the putting green is never underestimated! And now that spring has sprung our putting green is ready for action. There are so many benefits that go along with golfing and sinking that putt, here are just a few:

1. Putting  challenges your mind in terms of coordination, concentration, preparing for and practicing each shot.

2. Vitamin D is a beneficial nutrient that you could get from various foods. However, another great way to get it is to spend time in the sun!

3. Golfers have to focus on the putting green, identify and determine distance, and obstacles. This could be useful in keeping mental illnesses like dementia at bay.

But the most important benefit that we see is the socialization and confidence you gain! We’ll see you on the Green!!
