Tea Time!

 

TEA TIME at Winnwood Retirement Community is a way to sit and relax with friends and family.  No matter what season, tea can be tasty!  It can be served HOT or COLD.  Tea benefits go far beyond refreshment.  Which type of tea you drink can make a difference in your health.  Here at Winnwood, our activities directors host Tea Time as a monthly event.  Winnwood residents love experiencing a variety of flavors and different kinds of herbal teas.  Some of the types they serve are Green Tea, English Breakfast Tea, Mint Tea, Black Tea, Zen Tea, Earl Gray Tea, and Paisley Label Tea.

 
 Winnwood Retirement also provides our residents the use of natural sweeteners for better taste. A resident favorite is Manuka honey.  This honey has a load of benefits; It’s used to relieve a whole host of ailments: Amino acids, B vitamins (B6, thiamin, niacin, riboflavin, pantothenic acid), Calcium, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, and Zinc.
