The Arctic Blast of marietta

Today I would like to start off by sharing a small bit of humor about myself. It is no secret to people close to me that I don’t particularly like to be hot. Meaning I need AC!  My physical need to always be a little more than just cool is an ongoing joke amongst my family and friends! Visitors that come to my house in the summer know to bring their warm attire, and I admit to using a box-fan 365 days a year.

So I like the cold weather. Ironically (LOL), my favorite animal is the beautiful and ever dangerous polar bear. Also, visiting Antarctica to slide on my belly with the King Penguins is on my attainable bucket list.  I imagine my dad will want to sit that trip out. He has the best anti-cold weather quote I have ever heard!! He says, “I get my cold weather fix when I open and close the refrigerator door!!!” Be careful, wouldn’t want that Kenmore to give you a cold. LOL. Love it dad!

On a serious note, “The Arctic Blast of 2014,” swept across the US and Georgia this week. Some of the coldest weather I have ever experienced! My eyeballs even feel frost bit. Not including the wind chill (-12 below), the temperature was 6 degrees when I woke up this morning!

Rest assured, the residents and staff at Winnwood are carrying on with life as normal within the community. Their needs are being met in every way possible! This arctic blast will be one for the record books! Please be careful out there. If you think Winnwood can assist you or your family by fulfilling a family need, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

God Bless.

P.S. Keep your animals inside. If you’re cold they’re cold.
